Action # SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
JUNE 30, 1982
9:00 A.M.
The Special Meeting of the Board of Commissioners met in the Commissioners Meeting
Room, City -County Building, on Monday, June 30, 1982, at 9:00 A.M. for the purpose
of considering and voting upon the following:
(1) Second Reading Ordinance Number 82-8915, pertaining to operating a
vehicle while under the influence of liquor or drugs; providing for
chemical tests to determine alcoholic content of the operator's blood,
breath, urine or saliva; providing for evidence of intoxication and
presumptions; and providing for penalties for violations of any of the
provisions of said ordinance; amending Sections 22-67 to 22-75, inclusio ,
of the Salina Code and repealing the existing sections.
(2) Second Reading Ordinance Number 82-8916, prohibiting the sale and/or
consumption of cereal malt beverages at certain times and places;
amending Section 6-48 of the Salina Code and repealing the existing
section.

82-119 Moved by Commissioner Graves, seconded by Commissioner Burgess that
Ordinance Number 82-8915, pertaining to operating a vehicle while under the
influence of liquor or drugs; providing for chemical tests to determine alcoholic
content of the operator's blood, breath, urine or saliva; providing for evidence
of intoxication and presumptions; and providing for penalties for violations of
any of the provisions of said ordinance; amending Sections 22-67 to 22-75, inclusi
of the Salina Code and repealing the existing sections, be adopted. Aye: Burgess,
Graves, Roth, Duckers (4). Nay: (0). Commissioner Hodges absent. Motion adopted

of cereal malt beverages at certain times and places; amending Section 6-48 of
the Salina Code and repealing the existing section.
82-120 Moved by Commissioner Roth, seconded by Commissioner Burgess that
Ordinance Number 82-8916, prohibiting the sale and/or consumption of cereal malt
beverages at certain times and places; amending Section 6-48 of the Salina Code
and repealing the existing section, be adopted.
Dick Lindblom, 1304 Wilbre Road, and owner of All Star Bowling stated
he has a beer license and asked if he could allow people to consume beer on
Sunday. He was told they could not under the proposed ordinance.
