(8.1) Request from Greg Bengtson, Attorney representing the Salina Mobile
Home Park Owners regarding their concern over the increase of the mobile home
park license fees.
Greg Bengtson, Attorney for the Salina Mobile Home Park Owners, gave an
overview of the licensing and inspection of mobile home parks. He proposed that
the actual cost of the license and inspections be the basis for the fee and the
mobile home park owners would be willing to pay this.
Louise Heath, who has 18 mobile home spaces, said this is double fee
because each unit is inspected when the mobile home is moved onto the lot.
The Commissioners took no action, but will take the matter under
advisement and will give the mobile home park owners an answer on January 25,
