01-04-1982 Minutes1 CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS ` REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS JANUARY 4, 1982 4:00 p.m. The Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners met in the Commission Meeting Room, City -County Building, on Monday, January 4, 1982, at four o'clock p.m. There were present: Mayor Merle A. Hodges, Chairman presiding Commissioner John F. Burgess Commissioner Keith G. Duckers Commissioner Karen M. Graves Commissioner Charles B. Roth comprising a quorum of the Board, also present: L. 0. Bengtson, City Attorney D. L. Harrison, City Clerk Rufus L. Nye, City Manager Absent: None None CITIZEN FORUM AWARDS - PROCLAMATIONS The Mayor presented plaques of appreciation to past board and commission members: John Chalmers, Citizens' Advisory Committee; Jim Lytle and Ron Richmond, Board of Building Appeals. None PUBLIC HEARINGS AND ITEMS SCHEDULED FOR A CERTAIN TIME CONSENT AGENDA (6.1) Approve the Minutes of the Regular Meeting December 21, 1981. (6.2) Cereal Malt Beverage license application filed by Duane Billings, d/b/a Scheme, at 123 North Seventh Street. (Renewal application) 82-1IIMoved by Commissioner Duckers, seconded by Commissioner Graves that all items on the consent agenda be approved. Aye: (5). Nay: (0). Motion adopted. None DEVELOPMENT BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (8.1) Second Reading Ordinance Number 81-8895 - annexing certain land to the City of Salina, Kansas. [Annexation Application 81-5, Schwan Tract on Marymount Road] 82-2 Moved by Commissioner Graves, seconded by Commissioner Duckers that Ordinance Number 81-8895, annexing certain land to the City of Salina, Kansas, in conformity with the provisions of K.S.A. 12-519 to 12-526, inclusive, be adopted. Aye: Burgess, Duckers, Graves, Roth, Hodges (5). Nay: (0). Motion adopted. (8.2) City Engineer reports on Petition Number 3827, filed by Douglas G. Hill, for street and storm sewer improvements on Linden Drive, Sherwood Lane, Huntington Road and Bentley Avenue, in Mayfair Addition. 82-3 Moved by Commissioner Roth, seconded by Commissioner Burgess that action on the City Engineer's report be postponed for one week so Mr. Hill can be present. Aye: (5). Nay: (0). Motion adopted. 82-4 Moved by Commissioner Duckers, seconded by Commissioner Graves that the Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners be adjourned. Aye: (5). Nay: (0).
