BE IT USOLVEM BY THE GOVEMNING BODIES Or THE COUTNTY OF SALINE,
KANSAS, AND THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS, a.quorum of each group be-
ing present and voting at their respective meeting:
Sect ion.l. That Section I of Resolution No. 1576 jointly
adopted on June 28, 1955, be and the same is hereby amended to
read as follows:
Sec. 1. Organization of joint city -county board
of health.
There is hereby created and established in .and
for the County of Saline and City of Salina, State of
Kansas, a joint city -county board of health composed
of ten members to be se-lected As followso
(a) I.,--.ich of the three (3). members of the board
of cor.1raissioncrs of the County of Saline shall be mcr.—i
bers of th,--- joint board during their, term in office
as county commissioners.
The mayor of the board of commissioners of
the City of Salina shall appoint three (3) meribers from
that body as members, of the joint board, whose term
shall be their tenure in office as city commissioners
or z -.t the pleasure of the mayor.
(c). The six (6) members from the county and city
boards of.corunissioners shall select four (4) addition-
al members for the joint board, as follows:
rrom a list containing the names of
two (2) or more doctors of medicine practicing
within the corporate limits of the County of
Saline, selected by the Saline County Nedical
Society, they shall appoint one meriber i-lhose
term shall exl)ire July 1, 1958.
(2). From a list containinq the names of
two (2) or snore recriS4- erect nurses having legal
residcnce in and residing in the corporate lim-
its Of the. County of Saline, selected by the
Board of Directors of the District Nurses'
Association of jq',-1ich the County of Saline is a
part, they shall appoint one member ,.hose term

(3). F r om a list containing the names of
two or more doctors of dentistry przycticing
within the corporate limits of ;%.-.I,cAcounty Of
Saline, selected by the Salina Pental Society,
they shall appoint one member whose term shall
expire July 1, 1972.

Section 2. That Sec. 1 of Resolution PJo. 1576 be• and the
same is hereby repealed.
Section 3. This amendment shall take effect and be in force
from and after the adoption by the governing bodies of both the
County of Saline, I:ansas, and the City of Salina, Kansas.
