98-5342 Advis SidewalksCanmlitlaled Salina RESOLUTION NUMBER 98-5342 A RESOLUTION DIRECTING AND ORDERING A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE ADVISABILITY OF AN IMPROVEMENT TO PUBLIC CONCRETE SIDEWALKS ON THE NORTH SIDE OF CRAWFORD STREET FROM MARYMOUNT ROAD TO FAIRDALE ROAD. BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That a public hearing shall be held by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas on the advisability of the following improvement: Public concrete sidewalks on the north side of Crawford Street from Marymount Road to Fairdale Road. The public hearing will be held on the 2nd day of November, 1998, at the City -County Building, 300 W. Ash, Room 107, at 4:00 p.m., as provided in K.S.A. 12-6a01 et sea. Section 2. The City Clerk shall publish the following notice of such public hearing in the official city newspaper: NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Notice is hereby given that the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas will meet for the purpose of holding a public hearing, as provided in K.S.A. 12-6a01 et sea., in Room 107 of the City -County Building, 300 W. Ash, at 4:00 p.m., Monday, November 2, 1998, to consider the advisability of the following proposed improvement: (a) General Nature of Improvement: Public concrete sidewalks on the north side of Crawford Street from Marymount Road to Fairdale Road. (b) Proposed Improvement (Benefit) District: Tracts 6 and 7, Lot 7, Block 2, and Block 5, less the north 120', all in Georgetown Addition to the City of Salina. (c) Estimated or Probable Cost: $17,334.39. (d) Method of Assessment: 100% of the total cost assessed against the property shall be based upon the square footage of sidewalk actually constructed in the improvement (benefit) district. (e) Apportionment of Costs: Assessed against the improvement district shall be: 50% of the total cost of a four (4) or five (5) foot wide concrete sidewalk and any incidentals thereto to complete the sidewalk improvement, except the following: Paid by the city -at -large shall be: (1) 50% of the total cost of a four (4) or five (5) foot wide concrete sidewalk adjacent to private property and any incidentals thereto to complete the sidewalk improvement and (2) 100% of the total cost of sidewalks located at street intersections, sidewalk ramps, driveway reconstruction, drainage pipe extensions, etc. Section 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
