A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PREPARATION AND FILING WITH
THE KANSAS DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE AND HOUSING OF A SMALL CITIES
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM APPLICATION FOR
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANCE FOR FISCAL YEAR 1998; DESIGNATING
THE MAYOR AS THE AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE OF THE CITY OF SALINA
TO ACT IN CONNECTION WITH THE APPLICATION; AND TO PROVIDE SUCH
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION AS MAY BE REQUIRED.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That the City of Salina, Kansas, prepare and file with the Kansas
Department of Commerce and Housing an application for economic development assistance under
the small cities section of the Community Development Block Grant Program for Federal fiscal year
..;
Section 2. That the Mayor be designated as the applicant's chief elected official and
authorized representative.
Section 3. That as the chief elected official and authorized representative of the
applicant, the Mayor is hereby authorized to sign and file the application, including all
understandings, certifications, and assurances contained therein, and the City Manager is hereby
authorized to subsequently act as the City's representative in connection with the application and to
provide such additional information as may be required.
