04-10202 Annex Schilling(Published in the Salina Journal on May �, 2004) ORDINANCE NUMBER 04-10202 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TRACT OF LAND, IN SALINE COUNTY, KANSAS IN CONFORMITY WITH THE PROVISIONS OF K.S.A. 12-519 TO 12-526, INCLUSIVE. BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That the following described tract of land, to -wit: A parcel of land located in the Southeast Quarter of Section 1, Township 15 South, Range 3 West of the 6"' Principal Meridian in Saline County, Kansas, more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the Southwest Corner of the Southeast Quarter of Section 1, Township 15 South, Range 3 West; thence East on an assumed bearing of N90°00'00"E along the South line of said southeast Quarter a distance of 53.93 feet to a point on the East Right of -Way line of the Union Pacific Railroad; thence N00°05'37"W along said East Right - of -Way line of the Union Pacific Railroad a distance of 1073.35 feet to the Northwest corner of the South half of Lot 1, Block 1 of South Industrial Area No. 3, a subdivision of Saline County, Kansas, for a POINT OF BEGINNING; thence continuing N00°15'37"W along said East Right -of -Way line of the Union Pacific Railroad a distance of 1568.55 feet; thence N89°56'23"E along the North line of said Southeast Quarter a distance of 1258.68 feet to a point on the East line of the West half of the said Southeast Quarter; thence S00°05'00"E along the East line of the West half of the said Southeast Quarter a distance of 1569.34 feet to the Northeast corner of the South half of Lot 1, Block 1 of South Industrial Area No. 3, a subdivision of Saline County, Kansas; thence S89°58'35"W along the North line of South half of Lot 1, Block 1 of South Industrial Area No. 3, a subdivision of Saline County, Kansas a distance of 1253.83 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. The above described tract contains 1,970,995.11 square feet or 45.25 acres more or less and includes the North half of Lot 1, Block 1 of South Industrial Area No. 3, a Subdivision of Saline County, Kansas. meeting one or more of the classifications for annexation prescribed by K.S.A. 12-519 to 12-526, inclusive, is hereby annexed and made a part of the City of Salina, Kansas. Section 2. That the Salina Service Area Map (Figure 18, P, 172) of the Comprehensive Plan of the City of Salina be and is hereby amended to show the above described tract as a Primary Service Area for the extension of City utilities and services. Section 3. That the tract of land described in Section 1 above shall be zoned "I-3" HEAVY INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT upon annexation into the city. Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper.
