RESOLUTION NUMBER 00-5600
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
SUPPLEMENTAL ENGINEERING AGREEMENT, MODIFICATION NO. 2, WITH KONZA
NATURAL RESOURCES CONSULTANTS, INC. FOR STORM DRAINAGE SYSTEM
IMPROVEMENTS IN EAST SALINA PERTAINING TO THE GOLF COURSE DESIGN SUB -
PHASE, PROJECT NO. 00-1239.
WHEREAS, the City Commission authorized an engineering agreement with Konza
Natural Resources Consultants, Inc. on June 14, 1999 to analyze a large drainage basin in East
Salina; and
WHEREAS, the basin encompasses the area between Cloud Street on the south,
Country Club Road on the north, Seitz Drive on the west and Holmes Road on the east; and
WHEREAS, on December 6, 1999, the City Commission authorized a supplemental
agreement with Konza to expand the analysis of the drainage basin for Dry Creek Tributary No. 1
in order to pursue a "master plan" for the area in question; and
WHEREAS, that master plan includes a proposed storm water detention basin located
at the northeast corner of the Municipal Golf Course property; and
WHEREAS, the current development of a par 3 golf facility at that location has
prompted the need for the final engineering design of the proposed detention basin. SO NOW
THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute Modification No. 2 to the
engineering agreement with Konza Natural Resources Consultants, Inc for the Golf Course Design
Sub -Phase, Project Number 00-1239, subject to the terms and conditions of the agreement, in an
amount not to exceed $7,000.00.
Section 2. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its
adoption.
