A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A GRANT AWARD FROM
THE FEDERAL EDWARD BYRNE MEMORIAL JUSTICE GRANT PROGRAM AS A SUB-
1, GRANTEE OF THE STATE OF KANSAS UNDER THE KANSAS GOVERNOR'S GRANTS
PROGRAM FOR UPGRADE OF THE COMPUTER AIDED DISPATCH (CAD);
8 AUTHORIZING THE USE OF 911 FUNDS TO ASSIST IN THE FUNDING FOR THE
REMAINING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE UPGRADE; AND APPROVING AN
AMENDMENT TO THE CITY'S CURRENT AGREEMENT WITH TYLER
TECHNOLOGIES, INC. FOR THE CAD UPGRADE.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. The City accepts a grant award in the amount of$73,380 from the Federal Edward
Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program as a sub-grantee of the State of Kansas under the
Kansas Governor's Grant Program to upgrade the Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD)and authorize the
use of 911 Funds in the amount not to exceed $33,220 to assist in the funding for any remaining costs
associated with the upgrade.
Section 2. The Mayor is authorized to execute on behalf of the City an amendment of the City's
current agreement with Tyler Technologies,Inc. at a cost not to exceed$106,600 for the CAD upgrade.
Section 3.The City Clerk is hereby directed to file the original agreement and retain according to
the City of Salina Records Management Policy.
Section 4. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
Adopted by the Board of Commissioners and signed by the Mayor this 4`h day of March, 2019.
