SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
February 4, 2019
2:32 p.m.
The Special Meeting of the Board of Commissioners was called to order at 2:32 p.m. in Conference
. Room A of the Saline County Health Department, 125 W. Elm Street. Roll call was taken.
Those present and comprising a quorum: Mayor Trent W. Davis, M.D. (presiding),
Commissioners Joe Hay,Jr., Melissa Rose Hodges, Mike Hoppock and Karl F. Ryan.

8 Also present: Michael Schrage, City Manager, Greg Bengtson, City Attorney; and Shandi Wicks,
City Clerk.
ADMINISTRATION
(2.1) Consider approving agreement with Saline County providing for a road impact fee
and addressing annexation and maintenance of certain roads; and authorizing
Mayor to execute a joint motion of the City and the County to vacate injunction.
Commissioner Hodges asked if we would have continued conversations to further avoid
court actions. Michael Schrage, City Manager, stated the agreement contemplated future
annexations and staff would need to stay on top of future annexations.
Mayor Davis asked for public comment. There was none.
I19-0024 Moved by Commissioner Hodges, seconded by Commissioner Hoppock, to adopt Resolution No.
19-7666 Authorizing the Mayor to Execute an Agreement with Saline County Mitigating Impacts of
Solid Waste Landfill in Saline County and Addressing Annexation and Maintenance of Roads; and
Authorizing the Mayor to Execute a Verified Joint Petition to Vacate Injunction on behalf of the
City of Salina in Saline County District Court Case No. 14-CV-391. Aye: (5). Nay: (0). Motion
carried.
ADJOURNMENT
19-0025 Moved by Commissioner Ryan, seconded by Commissioner Hay,.that the special meeting of the
Board of City Commissioners be adjourned. Aye: (5). Nay: (0). Motion carried. The meeting
adjourned at 2:35 p.m.
