FINANCIAL/STATISTICAL REPORT:
Stats are up and look good.
LIBRARIAN'S REPORT: Joe reported that latest specs are available
and it looks like renovation will begin at both entrances to the
building. Joe gave a list to the Board showing the approximate
order in which the construction would be carried out.
Several local contractors are interested in bidding the job.
Discussion of the budget is underway. There will be changes
in how the premium for the 1997 Blue Select policy is handled.
It is recommended that the library pass the full quarter of a
mill increase to get ready for the renovation project expenses.
Maximum amounts that can be put into the Capital Improvement Fund
and Building Fund will be done. Increases for Technology funding
to take care of technology updates is needed in various parts of
the library including the VAX operating system.
The library has received part of their state Aid grant this
year.
Julie and Kristi will attend the next Board meeting to talk
about the Summer Reading Program.
Financial report looks good.
