BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina Kansas:
Section 1. Amended Section. The Salina Code is amended by adding a new section to Chapter 8;
8 Article I. Division 4 to be numbered 8-1-4-1311.14.2.1 which section reads as follows:
Sec. 8-1-4-1311.14.2.1 Amendment to section 1311.14.2.1 of the UMC
1311.14.2.1 Arc-Resistant Jacketed CSST. CSST listed with an arc resistant jacket or coating
system in accordance with ANSI LCI/CSA 6.26, Fuel Gas Piping Systems Using Corrugated
Stainless Steel Tubing, shall be electrically continuous and bonded to an effective ground fault
current path. Where any CSST component of a piping system does not have an arc-resistant jacket
or coating system, the bonding requirements of 1311.14.2 shall apply. Arc-resistant jacketed CSST
shall be considered to be bonded when it is connected to appliances that are connected to the
appliance grounding conductor of the circuit supplying that appliance.
Section 2. Effective. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption

On June 4, 2018 the City Commission passed Ordinance No. 18-10941. The Ordinance amends
Chapter 8, Article 1, Division 4 of the Salina Code, by adding new Section 8-1-4-1311.14.2.1,
Amendment to section 131 1.14.2.1 of the UMC regarding bonding of CSST tubing. A complete
