RE: 2001 Annual Report - Disciplinary Advisory Board
The Disciplinary Advisory Board met once during 2001. The Board meets as needed.
Meetings are prompted by employee appeals of serious disciplinary actions taken by the
City Manager.

This board met one time in 2001 to address appeals of disciplinary action. In this instance,
the personnel action by the City Manager was unanimously upheld.

The Disciplinary Advisory Board plays a very important role in the City's overall personnel
administration by providing employees with an independent, citizen review of serious
personnel actions taken. This Board is also authorized to make non-binding
recommendations to the City Manager regarding appealed personnel actions.
