18-7539 Amendment to 2018-2022 Capital Improvement Program to Designate Projects Related to Downtown Salina RESOLUTION NUMBER 18-7539 A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE 2018-2022 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM FOR THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS TO DESIGNATE PROJECT RELATED TO THE DOWNTOWN REDEVELOPMENT UTILITY RELOCATION AND E. DOWNTOWN REDEVELOPMENT STREETSCAPE CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS IN N 2018. WHEREAS, the City of Salina has established a Capital Improvement Program Policy as a component of its Financial Policies Document; and WHEREAS, the Policy includes establishment of a 5-year Capital Improvement Program (C.I.P.) to guide decision making on public improvements and expenditures; and WHEREAS, on December 11. 2017 and by Resolution No. 17-7505, the City Commission approved the 5-Year (2018 —2022) Capital Improvement Program (CIP); and WHEREAS, on March 5, 2018 the City Commission approved a contract between the City of Salina and Smoky Hill, LLC for the Downtown Redevelopment Utility Relocation and Downtown Redevelopment Streetscape Construction Projects; and WHEREAS, in 2018 the City Commission has agreed to relocate wastewater lines related to the Homewood Suites Hotel and the Alley Entertainment Center construction projects. Project Est. Cost Source of Funds Downtown Utility- Wastewater Line Relocations $425,000 Water and Wastewater Capital Reserve Downtown Santa Fe Water Line Replacement $1,351,101 Water and Wastewater Capital Reserve Downtown Redevelopment Streetscape Construction $11,010,500 STAR Bonds/Sales Tax WHEREAS, the Governing Body desires to amend the 5-Year (2018 — 2022) Capital Improvement Program to include the aforementioned projects for commencement in 2018. SO NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That the 2018-2022 Capital Improvement Program is hereby amended to designate the aforementioned projects for commencement in 2018. Section 2. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption. Adopted by the Board of Commissioners and signed by the Mayor this 19`h day of March 2018. Karl F.
