A JOINT RESOLUTION OF THE COUNTY OF SALINE ANT THE CITY OF SAUNA
IN SALINE COL:,TY, KANSAS, A\\T DIYjG THE JOINT BOARD OF HEALTH RESOLUTION
.I EREAS, the governing bodies of Saline County and of the City
of Salina within Saline County, have therefore created a io__nt City -County
Board of Health in said County of Saline and City of Salina, State of
Kansas.
AND, WHEREAS, said governing bodies now desire to increase to
ten the number of the ,embers composing said Board and to provide the
;:leans for selection of ..:e ,.enth member thereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Boarc of Commissioners of
Saline Countv and the City of Salina, State of Kansas, a quorum of each
group being present and voting at their respective meetings that Section I
of ti -_e Joint Board of Health R.esoluticn of the City of Salina or the Countv
of Saline in the State of _I-ansas be amended as follows:

Board, whose term shall be their tenure in orrice as City Commissioners or
at the pleasure of the Mayorand the City Commissioners.

The six members from the Counter and -it-,Soard of _=ls-
sioners shall select four additional members for tae Joint Board, as
follows:
1. From a list containing the names of two or more
aoctors of medicine practicing within the corporate limits of the
County of Saline, selected by the Saline County Medical Society,
they snail appoint one member «nose term shall expire Jule, 1955.
_. From a list containing ____ names two or more
registered nurses having legal residence in anu resiciag in rile
corporate limits of the Countv of Saline selected by the Board of
Directors of the District Nurses` Association of which the Countv
of Saline'a part, they shall appoint one member whose ter-. sha:'_
expire July 1, 1957.
3. From a list containing the names of two jr more
dentists, practicing within the Countv of Saline, selected by the
Salina Dental Society, they shall appoint one member to serve -or
a three year term.
4. They shall select one member at urge, ;anese term
shall expire July 1, 1950.
5. After the expiration of the initial term of each of
the above four members, their successors shall be appointed and
shall serve for a three year term.
j This resolution shall take effect and be in force from and
after the adoption of the governing bodies of the Ccunty of Saline and
the City of Salina, State of Kansas.
