AN ORDINANCE DEFINING A NON-RESIDENT ELECTRICIAN AND EXEMPTING SAID PERSON FROM
ELECTRIC EXAMINATION PRIOR TO ISSUANCE OF LICENSE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That The Salina Code is hereby amended by adding a section to be
numbered Section 9-145 (4), which said section shall read as follows:
"Section 9-145 (4). Non -Resident Electrician.
A non-resident electrician is a person holding a
valid Master or Journeyman's license from other than the
City of Salina. Such Master or Journeyman's license
shall be honored; provided that the issuing city shall
have entered into an agreement with the City of Salina,
granting reciprocal privileges to the holders of valid
Salina electricians licenses, and further provided that
the issuing city shall conduct examinations to determine
the qualifications of its licenses, such qualifications
shall parallel those of the City of Salina. Any decision
as to doubtful qualifications of a licensee shall be
determined by the Board of Electrical Examiners. Nothing
in this section shall exempt the non-resident electrician
from obtaining the proper licenses from the City of Salina
as set forth in Section 9-132 and Section 9-152 of The
Salina Code."
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
adoption and publication in the official city newspaper.
