ORDINANCE NUMBER 09-10508
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE VII, SECTION 2-162 OF
THE SALINA CODE PERTAINING TO MEMBERSHIP; APPOINTMENT AND TERM OF
THE SALINA ARTS AND HUMANITIES COMMISSION AND REPEALING EXISTING
SECTION 2-162.
BE IT. ORDAINED by the governing.body of the city of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That Section 2-162 of Chapter 2, Article VII of the Salina Code is hereby
amended and reads as follows:
"Sec. 2-162. Membership; appointment, term.
The said commission shall consist of nine (9) members, which shall be appointed by the
mayor, with the approval of the board of commissioners. All appointments shall be for a
term of three (3) years and until a successor is qualified, provided no person shall be
appointed for more than two (2) consecutive full terms."
Section 2. That existing Section 2-162 is hereby repealed.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and
publication once in the official city newspaper.
