ORDINANCE NUMBER 91-9442
AN ORDINANCE REPEALING DIVISION 2 OF ARTICLE 6 OF CHAPTER
2 OF THE SALINA CODE REGARDING THE ARTS COMMISSION; AMENDING
SECTION 2-162 OF THE SALINA CODE REGARDING MEMBERSHIP OF THE
SALINA ARTS AND HUMANITIES COMMISSION AND REPEALING THE EXISTING
SECTION.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That Division 2 of Article 6 of Chapter 2 of the Salina
Code is hereby repealed.
Section 2. That Section 2-162 of The Salina Code is hereby amended
to read as follows:
"Section 2-162. Membership; appointment; term.
The said commission shall consist of ten (10) members,
which shall be appointed by the Mayor, with the approval of
the Board of Commissioners. The initial appointments to the
Commission shall be for one, two and three year terms and
thereafter all appointments shall be for a term of three years
and until a successor is qualified; provided no person shall
be appointed for more than two consecutive full terms."
Section 3. That the existing Section 2-162 of the Salina Code is
hereby repealed.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper.
