ORDINANCE NUMBER 8126

AN ORDINANCE SPECIFYING THE TYPE OF GATE VALVES TO BE USED ON DRAINAGE WORK,
MODIFYING SECTION 210 (a) OF THE UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That The Salina Code is hereby amended by adding a section to be
numbered Section 9-239.2 which said section shall read as follows:
''Section 9-239.2. Valves and Fittings.
Gate valves shall be used on drainage work and shall
be full way type with working parts of corrosion resistant
metal. Sizes four (4) inches or more in diameter shall have
cast iron bodies and sizes less than four (4) inches cast
iron or brass bodies.''
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper.
