ORDINANCE NUMBER 8043

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 9-18 OF THE SALINA CODE, AND REPEALING THE ORIGINAL
SECTION.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That Section 9-18 of the Salina Code is hereby amended to
read as follows:
"Section 9-18. ADOPTED.
There is hereby adopted by reference by the city for the
purpose of establishing rules and regulations for the con-
struction, alteration, removal, demolition, equipment
and use and occupancy, location and maintenance of
buildings and structures, including permits and penalties,
that certain building code known as the Uniform Building
Code, recommended and published by the International
Conference of Building Officials, being particularly the
1967 edition thereof, including the appendix thereto, save
and except such portions as are hereafter deleted, modified
or amended, of which not less than three (3) copies have
been and now are filed in the office of the city clerk and
the same are hereby incorporated as fully as if set out
at length herein, and the provisions thereof shall be
controlling in the construction of all buildings and
structures therein contained within the corporate limits
of the city.
Section 2. Section 9-18 of the Salina Code is hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its adoption and publication in the official city newspaper.
