RESOLUTION NUMBER 99-5488
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN
AGREEMENT WITH THE UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD COMPANY FOR
IMPROVEMENTS TO THE BELMONT BOULEVARD AND MAGNOLIA ROAD
TRAFFIC SIGNAL IMPROVEMENTS, PROJECT NUMBER 98-1148.
WHEREAS, the City of Salina has requested the Union Pacific Railroad Company
(the "Railroad") to remove four (4) existing cantilever signals from the intersection of Magnolia
Road, Belmont Boulevard and the Railroad's McPherson Branch at Milepost 547.96, DOT
815073N, in Salina, Saline County, Kansas; and
WHEREAS, the Railroad is agreeable, but solely upon the terms and conditions set
forth within the agreement. SO NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with the
Union Pacific Railroad Company for improvements to the Belmont Boulevard and Magnolia Road
Traffic Signal Improvements, Project Number 98-1148, subject to the terms and conditions of the
agreement, in an amount not to exceed $13,620.00.
