ORDINANCE NUMBER 8221

AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE 1970 EDITION OF THE UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE,
AMENDING SECTION 9-200 OF THE SALINA CODE AND REPEALING THE EXISTING SECTION.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That Section 9-200 of The Salina Code is hereby amended
to read as follows:
"Section 9-200. Uniform Plumbing Code Adopted
In order to protect the public health and safety of
the City through the establishment of minimum regulations
for the installation, alteration and repair and maintenance
of plumbing and drainage systems, the provisions of the
1970 Edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code and all Appendices
thereto, including the September -October 1971 issue of
"Official" - the International Association of Plumbing and
Mechanical Officials' magazine, are hereby incorporated,
by reference, herein and adopted as the plumbing code of
the City of Salina, Kansas, except as modified by Article VII
of Chapter 9 of The Salina Code."
Section 2. That the existing Section 9-200 of The Salina Code is
hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption and publication in the official city newspaper.
