ORDINANCE NUMBER 16-10868 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE AMENDMENT OF THE SALINA COMPREHENSIVE PLAN. WHEREAS, All conditions precedent for the amendment of the Salina Comprehensive Plan have been timely complied with. SO NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. Findings. The following findings are made in relation to the requested land use map amendment: 1. To be provided by the Governing Body. Section 2. Amendment. COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT. The Urban Service Area Map (Figure 2.6) and Future Land Use Map (Figure 2.1) of the Salina Comprehensive Map are amended to remove an 80 acre tract of land located at the northwest corner of Centennial Road and Farrelly Road from the City’s Urban Service Area and future Employment land use area. Section 3. Repealer. All prior ordinances in conflict herewith as they relate to the above described real estate are hereby repealed. Section 4. Summary of ordinance for publication. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption of publication once in the official city newspaper. Ordinance No. 16-10868 Summary On November 7, 2016, the City of Salina, Kansas, passed Ordinance No. 16-10868. The ordinance amends the Urban Service Area Map in the Salina Comprehensive Plan to remove an 80 acre tract of land located at the northwest corner of Centennial Road and Farrelly Road from the City’s Urban Service Area in order to allow for development of a rural residential subdivision on the property.
