Board of Examiners and the Housing Advisory and I\ppeais Board
under the Building Codes Advisory and Áppe¡:ds Board.

Attached is a proposed dr(]ft of an orciinance consolidating functions or
lhc Mobile Home Craftsman Board of Examiners and the Housing Advisory émd
Appeals Board under the Euildíng Codes Advisory and Appeals Board for your
review. The following is an outline of the changes made by the proposed
ordinance.
Sec. 1 Terminates the existing boards and consolidate~ those functions
under the Building Codes Advisory and Appeals Board.
Sec. 2 The Housing Advisory and Appeals Board and the Mobile Home
Craftsman Board of Examiners are "deled to the list of previously
consolidated boards under the Building Codes Advisory and Appeals
Board.
Sec. 3 Eliminates the quarterly meeting requirement for the Buildìng Codes
Advisory and Appeals Board.
Sec. 4 Char,ges reference under the minimum housing code appeals provision
from the Housing Advisory and Appeals Board to the Building Codes
Advisory and Appeals Board.
Sec. 5 Changes reference in the appeals procedure under the minimum
housing code from the Housing Advisory and Appeals Board to the
Building Codes Advisory and Appeals BcGrd.
Sec. 6 Changes reference in the hearing procedure for òppeals under the
minimum housing code from the Housing Advisory and Appeals BoarcJ to
the Building Codes Advisory and Appeals Board.
Sec. 7 Previous references to Housing Advisory and Appeals Board now
refer to the Building Codes Advisory and Appeals Board.
See. 8 Where applications for examination previously were to be made to tr.e
Mobile Home Craftsman Board of Exarrdners, they are now to be made to
the Building Official.
See. 9 Where appl ¡cations for a mobi Ie home contré1ctors license were
previously to be made to the Mobile Home Craftsman Boal-d of Examiners,
they are now to be made to the City Clerk and issued with the approval
of the buildir:~: official.

Sec. 10 Previous refet-ences to the Mobile Home Craftsman Board of
Examiners under Section 22-5L¡ (3) now refer to the Building Official.
See. 'J 1 Where the code previously provided that the Mobile Home Craftsman
Board of Examiner's is responsible for conducting examinations ,. thE'
section now states that the Building Official conducts the examinations.
Sec. 12 Previous reference to the Mobi ie Home Craftsman Board of Examiners
for purposes of certification to the City Clerk now refers to the Building
Official.
Sec. 13 Previous reference to the [v'tobile Home Craftsman Board of Examiners
for purposes of revocation of a Mobile Heme Craftsman license now refers
to the Building Codes Advisory and Appeals Board.
Sec. 14 Previous reference to the Mobi!e Home Craftsman Board of Examiners
tor purposes of decisions on doubtful qualif¡cations of éì nonre~;ident
licensee now refers to the Building Official.

This ordinance is scheduled to be introduced for first reading on October 10,
