ANNUAL REPORT FOR YEAH OF 1968
URBAN RENE¡iAL CONHISSION
Members of the Urban Renewal Com~ission for the year were
Harold Eagleton, I-lax HcClintock, Paul Renich, l'lildred Riddle, and Leland
Srack.
Dr. Renich served as Chairman, ~IT. Srack as Vice-Chairman, and
~IT. Eagleton as Secretary for the year.
Activities in the Civic Center project neared an end in 1968.
Host
of the project improvements were completed.
The Library Buildi ng was
finished and opened its doors in September.
Construction was still in
progress on the City-County Building.
Final payment for the land was
received during 19b8 and the deed delivered.
The Final Audit on the
project was completed in Novembero
The approval of Part I of Application for Loan and Grant for the
Northeast Industrial Park project was received in March 1968.
Approval of
the City Comrassion was given at a public hearing held in August 196$0
Part II of the Application for Loan and Grant was submitted in October 1968
and federal approval was pending at the end of the year.
