8059 Cultural Art CommissionCONSOLIDATLD-SALINA Fi ORDINANCE NUMBER 8059 (Published in The Salina Journal s"�, c' \,�., 26, , 1969) AN ORDINANCE DETERMINING THE MEMBERSHIP, APPOINTMENT AND TERM OF MEMBERS OF THE CULTURAL ARTS COMMISSION: AMENDING SECTION 2-197 OF THE SALINA CODE AND REPEALING SAID ORIGINAL SECTION. BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That Section 2-197 of The Salina Code is hereby amended to read as follows: ''Section 2-197. Membership; Appointment; Term. The said commission shall consist of not less than ten (10) members nor more than twenty (20) members, the exact number of which shall be determined from time to time by resolution of the Board of Commissioners. One (1) member of the Commission shall be a member of the Board of City Commissioners and the other members shall be appointed by the Mayor, subject to the approval of the Board of Commissioners. Initial appointments to the Commission shall be for one (1), two (2) and three (3) year terms and thereafter all appointments shall be for a term of three (3) years.'' Section 2. Section 2-197 of The Salina Code is hereby repealed. Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper.
