RESOLUTION NUMBER 00-5609
A RESOLUTION AMENDING SECTION 5 OF RESOLUTION NUMBER
00-5594, THE RESOLUTION FINDING AS TO THE ADVISABILITY AND A
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CONSTRUCTION PURSUANT TO K.S.A. 12-6a01et sea.
OF AN IMPROVEMENT CONSISTING OF CERTAIN CURBING, GUTTERING,
PAVING, GRADING, STORM DRAINAGE, SANITARY SEWER AND WATER MAIN
IMPROVEMENTS IN THE TWIN OAKS III SUBDIVISION TO THE CITY OF SALINA,
KANSAS. AND REPEALING THE EXISTING SECTION.
WHEREAS, a petition was filed with the City Clerk on the 14th day of April,
2000, under and pursuant to K.S.A. 12-6a01 et seq. to make certain curbing, guttering, paving,
grading, storm drainage, sanitary sewer and water main improvements in Twin Oaks III
Subdivision. SO NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That Section 5 of Resolution Number 00-5594 is amended to provide as follows:
"Section 5. The method of assessment shall be that of front footage for street and
drainage assessments and based upon an equal assessment to each equivalent residential lot
in the benefit district for water and sanitary sewer improvements."
Section 2. That the original Section 5 of Resolution Number 00-5594 is hereby repealed.
Section 3. That Resolution Number 00-5594, except to the extent amended above, is hereby
ratified and confirmed.
This resolution shall take effect after its passage and publication once in the official city
newspaper.
Adopted and passed this 26th day of June, 2000.
