A RESOLUTION DIRECTING AND ORDERING A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE
ADVISABILITY OF STREET AND DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS OF HOLLY LANE IN THE
REPLAT OF RIVER MEADOWS ADDITION.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That a public hearing shall be held by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas
on the advisability of the following improvement:
The curb, guttering, paving, grading, and drainage of all the platted Holly Lane from
Crawford Street south to and including the platted cul-de-sac.
The public hearing will be held on the 22°d day of March 2004, at the City -County
Building, 300 W. Ash, Room 107, at 4:00 p.m., as provided in K.S.A. 12-6a01 et

Section 2. The City Clerk shall publish the following notice of such public hearing in the official
city newspaper:
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas will meet for the
purpose of holding a public hearing, as provided in K.S.A. 12-6a01 et seq., in Room 107 of the City -County
Building, 300 W. Ash, at 4:00 p.m., Monday, March 22, 2004, to consider the advisability of the following
proposed improvement, to -wit:
(a) General Nature of Improvement: The curb, guttering, paving, grading, and drainage of all the
platted Holly Lane from Crawford Street south to and including the platted cul-de-sac.
(b) Proposed Benefit District:
• Lots 1 8, Block 2, Victoria Heights Addition; and
• Part of Lot 1, Block 1, Replat of River Meadows Addition; and
• Part of an unplatted tract located adjacent to the platted cul-de-sac at the south end
of Holly Lane and located immediately adjacent and south of Lot 8, Block
2,Victoria Heights Addition. The benefit district portion of this tract will include
approximately 26,000 square feet, abutting the platted Holly Lane cul-de-sac.

(c) Estimated or Probable Cost: $260,000.00
(d) Method of Assessment: The method of assessment shall be equally per equivalent residential
unit within the benefit district.
(e) Apportionment of Costs: The improvement district shall be assessed one hundred percent
(100%) of the total cost of the improvements.

findings by Resolution as to the advisability of the improvement, the nature of the improvement, the estimated
cost, the boundaries of the improvement district, the method of assessment and the apportionment of costs
between the improvement district and the city -at -large, all as finally determined by the Governing body.
