BE 1T RESOLVED BY TIIE COVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF SALIVA, KANSAS:
Section 1. That Resolution No. 2608 e of thCity of Sali_iza, K��nsc�s, adopted
April 24, 1962, be amended by amending Sec. 3(a) and (b), which are hereby amended
to r.cad as follows:

l Sec. 3. Organization of Council.
(a). The Salina -Saline County Civil Defense Council shall consist of five
members to be selected as follows:

(1). The Board of Com^issi_oners of theCity of Salina, Kansas,
shall appoint two members, at: least one of which shall be
a City Commissioner. The City Commission member shall be

appointed annually and the other member for a term of three
i
years.

(2). The Board of Commissioners of Saline County shall appoint
I
two members, at least one of which. shall be a County Com-
I
missioner. The County Commissioner shall. be appointed ann-
ually and the other member for a term of three years.
(3). The four members appointed as above provided shall appoint:
a fifth member who shall serve for a term of two years. ].f

the four members are unable to agree upon a fifth member,
i
then the Probate Judge of Saline County shall appoint the
I
i
j fifth member by January 30th.
i
(b). The Council shall organize annually on or before January 20th
I
of each year. In the event of the resignation or death o-
I
I
any member of the council, his position shall be filled by
the original appointing body. Section 2. Sec. 3(a) and
i
(b) of Resolution No. 2608 are hereby repealed.

This resolution shall be in force from and after its adoption and ratification
