A RESOLUTION NAMING THE MUNICIPAL GOLF COURSE YOUTH
FACILITY THE "VERLA NESBITT JOSCELYN YOUTH GOLF ACADEMY."
WHEREAS, a request was made at the June 2001 Parks and Recreation Advisory Board
meeting to name the Municipal Golf Course youth facility in memory of Verla Nesbitt Joscelyn; and
WHEREAS, Verla Nesbitt Joscelyn was instrumental in the development of the Municipal
Golf Course youth facility; and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board approved the request to name the
Municipal Golf Course youth facility the "Verla Nesbitt Joscelyn Youth Golf Academy" at their June
2001 meeting. SO NOW, THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That the Municipal Golf Course youth facility is hereby named the "Verla
Nesbitt Joscelyn Youth Golf Academy."
Section 2. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
Adopted by the Board of Commissioners and signed by the Mayor this 20t" day of August,
2001.
