AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION OF A CERTAIN TRACT OF
LAND IN SALINE COUNTY, KANSAS IN CONFORMITY WITH THE PROVISIONS OF
K.S.A. 12-519 TO 12-526, INCLUSIVE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. Findings.
The following findings support the annexation of this property by the City of Salina:
1. Annexation is being requested by the property owner in order to receive City utilities
and services.
2. The subject property is not located in the City's Urban Service Area and is not
contiguous to the existing city limits but City sewer service is needed for public health
reasons.
Section 2. Legal Description.
The following described tract of land, to -wit:
A tract of land in the Southeast Quarter of Section 25, Township 13 South, Range 3 West, of the 6t''
Principal Meridian, Saline County, Kansas, being more particularly described as follows:
COMMENCING at the Southeast corner of said Southeast quarter;
THENCE along the South line of said Southeast Quarter on an assumed bearing of 89°47'56"W, for
a distance of 685.56 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING;
THENCE continuing along said South line N 89°47'56"W for a distance of 686.34 feet;
THENCE departing said South line, N 00°12'04" E for a distance of 425.18 feet;
THENCE N 31040'13" W for a distance of 1032.98 feet;
THENCE N 58019'47" E for a distance of 422.59 feet;
THENCE S 31040'13" E for a distance of 1231.67 feet;
THENCE S 24041'32" E for a distance of 528.70 feet to the South line of said Southeast Quarter
and the POINT OF BEGINNING, said tract containing 17.03 acres, more or less.
meeting one or more of the classifications for annexation prescribed by K.S.A. 12-519 to 12-526,
inclusive is hereby annexed and made a part of the City of Salina, Kansas.
Section 3. Zoning. All property described in Section 2 hereof shall be classified as lying in an A-1
(Agricultural) zoning district.
Section 4. Repealer. All prior ordinances in conflict herewith as they relate to the above described real
estate are hereby repealed.
Section 5. Summary of ordinance for publication. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper.
Ordinance No. 15-10774 Summary
On 2015, the City of Salina, Kansas passed Ordinance No. 15-10774. The ordinance annexes
a 17.03 acre portion of the Webster Conference Center property at 2601 North Ohio Street to allow the
conference center's facilities to connect to the City of Salina's sanitary sewer collection system. A
