10-22-1984 Minutes84-244 84-245 35 CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OCTOBER 22, 1984 4:00 p.m. The Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners met in the Commission Meeting Room, City -County Building, on Monday, October 22, 1984, at four p.m. There were present: Mayor Charles B. Roth, Chairman presiding Commissioner Fortino B. Bonilla Commissioner John F. Burgess Commissioner Merle A. Hodges Commissioner Joseph M. Ritter comprising a quorum of the Board, also present: L. 0. Bengtson, City Attorney Rufus L. Nye, City Manager Jacqueline Shiever, Acting City Clerk Absent: None D. L. Harrison, City Clerk CITIZEN FORUM AWARDS - PROCLAMATIONS (4.1) The Week of October 21 - 27, 1984 - "BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL WOMEN'S WEEK". The proclamation was read by Lola Pike, President of the Salina Business and Professional Women's Club. (4.2) The Week of November 5 - 9, 1984 - "MEDICAL ASSISTANTS WEEK". The proclamation was read by Margene Clark, President of Saline County Medical Assistants. None PUBLIC HEARINGS AND ITEMS SCHEDULED FOR A CERTAIN TIME CONSENT AGENDA (6.1) Approve the Minutes of the Regular Meeting October 15, 1984. (6.2) Resolution Number 84-3741 - authorizing and ordering certain water main and sanitary sewer improvements, ordering preparation of plans and specifications, and the estimate of costs. [Improvements in Nord Subdivision, requested by Kenneth Nordboe in Petition Number 3879] Moved by Commissioner Hodges, seconded by Commissioner Burgess that all items on the Consent Agenda be approved. Aye: (5). Nay: (0). Motion adopted. None DEVELOPMENT BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (8.1) Request by Wally Storey for an additional 60 day extension on the conditions listed in Ordinance 82-8911 for the rezoning of 1.2 acres of unplatted property lying west of North 13th Street and north of Woodland, extended, to "I-2" Light Industrial District. Moved by Commissioner Burgess, seconded by Commissioner Hodges that a 60 day extension be granted Wally Storey for the platting requirements of Ordinance Number 82-8911. Aye: (5). Nay: (0).
