ORDINANCE NUMBER 15-10809 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN OF THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS. IBE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. Findings. In relation to the following described real estate: The west side of South Ohio Street, north and south of the Ohio -Midway intersection (the "Property") the Governing Body makes the following findings: 1. All conditions precedent for the amendment of the City's Comprehensive Plan have been timely met; 2. Most of the public park areas in the city have a Public/Semi-Public land use designation; 3. A Public/Semi-Public land use designation is more reflective of the ownership (City) and intended long term use of the Property (extension of Kenwood Park); and 4. The proposed entryway enhancements at Ohio and Midway are consistent with the City's Strategic Plan and Smoky Hill River Renewal Master Plan. Section 2. Comprehensive Plan Amendment. The Future Land Use Map (Figure 2.1) of the Salina Comprehensive Plan is amended to show the Property as a future Public/Semi-Public land use area. Section 3. Repealer. All prior ordinances relating to the Property are repealed to the extent they are in conflict with this ordinance. Section 4. Summary of ordinance for publication. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption of publication once in the official city newspaper.
