99-5443 Auth 15 yr Woodland Hil(Published in the Salina Journal April 9, 1999) RESOLUTION NUMBER 99-5443 A RESOLUTION AMENDING SECTION 8 OF RESOLUTION NUMBER 97- 5153 FINDING AS TO THE ADVISABILITY AND A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CONSTRUCTION PURSUANT TO K.S.A. 12-601 et seq OF AN IMPROVEMENT CONSISTING OF CERTAIN CURBING, GUTTERING, PAVING, GRADING, WATER MAIN, SEWER AND STORM DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS IN WOODLAND HILLS ESTATES ADDITION TO THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS AND REPEALING THE EXISTING SECTION. Pursuant to findings of advisability made by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas. WHEREAS, on May 5, 1997, the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas, adopted Resolution Number 97-5153 setting out findings and determining the advisability of and authorizing construction of certain curbing, guttering, paving, grading, water main, sewer and storm drainage improvements in Woodland Hills Estates Addition in the City of Salina, Kansas (the "Project'), and benefitting the following improvement district: Lots 15 through 21, Block 2, Lots 8 through 19, Block 3, Lots 1 through 14, Block 4, Lots 8 through 14, Block 5, Lots 17 through 20, Block 6, and Lots 1 through 10, Block 7, all in Woodland Hills Estates Addition to the City of Salina, Kansas; WHEREAS, Resolution Number 97-5153 provides that the assessments for the costs of the Project shall be payable in ten (10) equal annual installments; and WHEREAS, the Governing Body wishes to extend the assessment period to not to exceed fifteen (15) years; Kansas: NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Section 1. Section 8 of Resolution Number 97-5153 is amended to read as follows: Section 8. The assessment with accrued interest shall be levied as a special tax upon the property included within the benefit district concurrent with the general property taxes and shall be payable in not to exceed fifteen (15) equal annual installments as determined by the Governing Body. Section 2. That Section 8 of Resolution 97-5153 is hereby repealed. Section 3. This resolution shall take effect after its passage and publication once in the official city newspaper.
