05-12-1986 Minutes86-088 86-089 CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MAY 12, 1986 4:00 p.m. The Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners met in the Commission Meeting Room, City -County Building, on Monday, May 12, 1986, at four p.m. There were present: Mayor Joseph M. Ritter, Chairman presiding Commissioner John F. Burgess Commissioner Merle A. Hodges Commissioner Stephen C. Ryan Commissioner Sydney S. Soderberg comprising a quorum of the Board, also present: Greg Bengtson, City Attorney D. L. Harrison, City Clerk Rufus L. Nye, City Manager Absent: None None CITIZEN FORUM AWARDS - PROCLAMATIONS (4.1) The Mayor proclaimed the Week of May 11 through 17th, 1986 - "POLICE WEEK". The proclamation was read by Glen Davis, Assistant Coordinator, Police Chaplain Program. (4.2) The Mayor proclaimed Saturday, May 17, 1986 - "BUDDY POPPY DAY". The proclamation was read by Tom Berry, Commander VFW. PUBLIC HEARINGS AND ITEMS SCHEDULED FOR A CERTAIN TIME None CONSENT AGENDA (6.1) Approve the Minutes of the Regular Meeting May 5, 1986 Moved by Commissioner Burgess, seconded by Commissioner Ryan that the item on the Consent Agenda be approved. Aye: (5). Nay: (0). Motion adopted. DEVELOPMENT BUSINESS None ADMINISTRATION (8.1) First Reading Ordinance Number 86-9134 - An ordinance providing for the vacation of a certain borrow easement on South 9th Street in NW4SW4 Section 36, Township 14 South, Range 3 West of the 6th Principal Meridian in the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas. [Requested in Petition 3924, filed by Jack Dooley] Moved by Commissioner Hodges, seconded by Commissioner Soderberg that Ordinance Number 86-9134, providing for the vacation of a certain borrow easement on South 9th Street in NW4SWk Section 36, Township 14 South, Range 3 West of the Sixth Principal Meridian in the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas, be introduced for first reading. Aye: (5). Nay: (0). Motion adopted. None OTHER.
