AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SALINA CODE SECTION 31-1002 PERTAINING TO
ORDERS OF ABATEMENT FOR TALL GRASS AND WEEDS MAINTENANCE -
VIOLATIONS AND REPEALING THE EXISTING SECTION.

w BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of Salina. Kansas:
Section 1. Amendment of Salina Code Section 31-1002. Salina Code Section 31-1002 is amended to
provide as follows:

Sec. 31-1002. Order of Abatement.
The one time yearly notice and order shall provide information sufficient to reasonably allow the
recipient to determine the nature of the actions required to self -abate the violation by cutting or
destroying weeds or overgrowth within ten (10) days.
Section 2. Repealer. Existing Salina Code Section 31-1002 is repealed.
Section 3. Effective. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and
publication once in the official city newspaper by the following summary:
Ordinance No. 15-10768 Summary
On April 13, 2015. the City Commission passed Ordinance No. 15-10768. The Ordinance
amends Salina Code Section 31-1002 pertaining to orders of abatement for tall grass and weeds
maintenance violations and repeals the existing section. A complete copy of the Ordinance can
