RESOLUTION NUMBER 03-6000
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE OFFERED DEDICATION OF STREET
RIGHT-OF-WAY ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS,.
WHEREAS, the Salina Planning Commission, the Board of City Commissioners and
the Saline County Commission have endorsed the concept of closing Cloud Street abutting the Elks
Country Club and constructing a new collector street north of the existing Cloud Street; and
WHEREAS, the Graves Trusts have filed a petition to annex their unplatted holdings
in the Southwest Quarter of Section Twenty (20), Township Fourteen (14) South, Range Three (3),
West of the Sixth Principal Meridian in Saline County, Kansas into the corporate limits of the City
of Salina, Kansas; and
WHEREAS, the Graves Trusts are desirous of establishing the future alignment of the
new collector street to serve as the basis for future platting and street design in the area; and
WHEREAS, the Graves Trusts have submitted signed deeds of dedication offering the
dedication of sixty (60) feet of public street right-of-way for this new collector street. SO NOW
THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas hereby accepts
offered the dedication of right-of-way for the future extension of Mariposa Drive.
Section 2. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect from its adoption.
Section 3. That the deeds of right-of-way dedication shall be filed in the office of the
Saline County Register of Deeds.
Adopted by the Board of Commissioners and signed by the Mayor this 3`d day of
November 2003.
