CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS
SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
AUGUST 20, 1987
8:00 a.m.
The Special Meeting of the Board of Commissioners met in the Commission Meeting
Room, City -County Building, on Thursday, August 20, 1987, at 8:00 a.m. for
the purpose of considering and voting upon Resolution Number 87-3910, relating
to a request by College Park Village for approval of collateral assignment of
leasehold interest.
There were present:
Mayor Stephen C. Ryan, Chairman presiding
Commissioner Robert E. Frank
Commissioner Sydney S. Soderberg
Commissioner Joseph A. Warner
comprising a quorum of the Board, also present:
Greg Bengtson, City Attorney
Robert K. Biles, City Clerk
Absent:
Commissioner Vi Justus
Rufus L. Nye, City Manager
Moved by Commissioner Soderberg, seconded by Commissioner Warner
that Resolution Number 87-3910, relating to a request by College Park Village for
approval of collateral assignment of leasehold interest, be adopted. Aye: (4).
Nay: (0) . Motion adopted.
City Attorney, Greg Bengtson, indicated the Commission must approve
this request before College Park Village could proceed and that the adoption of
the resolution would not affect College Park Village's responsibilities under the
Industrial Revenue Bond issue.
Ken Wasserman, attorney representing College Park Village, asked for
the City's approval to the proposed collateral assignment.
Moved by Commissioner Soderberg, seconded by Mayor Ryan that the
Special Meeting of the Board of Commissioners be adjourned. Aye: (4) . Nay:
(0) . Motion adopted. The meeting adjourned at 8:05 a.m.
