REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

The Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners met in the Commission
Meeting Room, City -County Building, on Monday, August 10, 1987, at 4:00 p.m.
There were present:

the Salina Police Department of the City of Salina, Kansas from November 15,

Water Treatment Plant. [Set the date of September 24, 1987 to receive bids.]
(6.4) Report on bids received August 6, 1987 for Engineering Project 87-655
for certain sidewalk improvements located within the Meadowlark School
attendance area. [Contract awarded to Wilson Constructors, Inc. in the amount
of $4,359.001

(8.1) Second reading Ordinance Number 87-9198, levying special assessments
against certain lots and pieces of property to pay the cost of cutting weeds on
certain lots and parts of lots and the parkways abutting thereon in the City of
Salina, Kansas.
Moved by Commissioner Warner, seconded by Commissioner Soderberg
that Ordinance Number 87-9198, levying special assessments against certain lots
and pieces of property to pay the cost of cutting weeds on certain lots and
parts of lots and the parkways abutting thereon in the City of Salina, Kansas,
be adopted. Aye: Frank, Justus, Soderberg, Warner, Ryan (5). Nay: (0).

(8.2) Second reading Ordinance Number 87-9199, levying special assessments
against certain lots and pieces of property to pay the cost of abatement of
nuisances located on certain lots and parts of lots in the City of Salina, Kansas.

(8.3) Resolution Number 87-3908 authorizing the Mayor to execute a quit
claim deed relinquishing the City's title to certain real estate [ N 10' Lot 37 and
S 5' Lot 35, Seventh Street, Original Townsite]
Moved by Commissioner Soderberg, seconded by Commissioner Warner
that Resolution Number 87-3908, authorizing the Mayor to execute a quit claim
deed relinquishing the city's title to certain real estate, be adopted. Aye: (5) .

(8.4) Resolution Number 87-3909 fixing the time and place to appear and
show cause why certain structures should not be condemned and ordered
repaired or demolished. [Set September 14, 1987 for public hearing]
Moved by Commissioner Justus, seconded by Commissioner Warner that
the resolution be amended to reflect the correct addresses and that a new date
for public hearing be established. Aye: (5). Nay: (0). Motion adopted.
