AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SALINA CODE SECTIONS 35-37 PERTAINING TO NOTICE
AJND REMOVAL OF OBSTRUCTIONS AND ENCROACHMENTS AND REPEALING THE
EXISTING SECTION.
w BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of Salina, Kansas:
y Section 1. Amendment. Salina Code Section 35-37 is amended to provide as follows:

Sec. 35-37. Notice and removal.
Wherever any obstruction may be found upon an), sidewalk, street, avenue, alley or in other
public places in the city. it shall be the duty of the city manager immediately to notiR, the owner
or occupier of the premises fronting thereon or the person placing the same thereon to remove
the same without delay, and upon failure so to do, the city manager shall have the obstruction
removed at the expense of the owner or occupiers of the property and such expenses, if not paid,
shall be a valid claim in favor of the city against such persons.
Section 2. Repealer. Existing Salina Code Section 35-37 is repealed.
Section 3. Effective. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and
publication once in the official city newspaper by the following summary:
Ordinance No. 15-10765 Summary
On February 9. 2015, the City Commission passed Ordinance No. 15-10765. The Ordinance
amends Salina Code Sec. 35-37 pertaining to notice and removal of obstructions and
