- LOCAL FREEDOM OF INFORMATION OFFICER FOR THE CITY OF
w SALINA IN ACCORDANCE WITH K.S.A. 45-226 AND REPEALING
RESOLUTION NUMBER 03-5996.

oWHEREAS, on October 6, 2003 the Governing Body adopted Resolution
Number 03-5996 establishing the procedure for appointment of a local freedom of
U information officer for the City of Salina ("City") in accordance with Sub. HB 2864
(codified as K.S.A. 45-226) and ratifying the City Manager's appointee to the position:
and
WHEREAS, the Governing Body desires to permanently designate the city
manager as the local freedom of information officer for the City with the expectation, as
authorized by the statute, that the city manager will designate, from time to time, the
member(s) of the City staff responsible for the duties of local freedom of information
officer as presently set forth in K.S.A. 45-226 or as amended; SO NOW
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina. Kansas:
Section 1. Designation. The city manager is designated as the local freedom of
information officer for the City in accordance with K.S.A. 45-226 with the expectation,
as authorized by the statute, that the city manager will designate, from time to time, the
member(s) of the City staff responsible for the duties of local freedom of information
officer as presently set forth in K.S.A. 45-226 or as amended.
Section 2. Repealer. Resolution Number 03-5996 is repealed.
Section 3. Effective date. This resolution shall be ig.W force and effect from
and after its adoption.
