RESOLUTION NUMBER 99-5423
A RESOLUTION AMENDING SECTION 4 OF RESOLUTION NUMBER 98-5382
DETERMINING THE ADVISABILITY OF CERTAIN SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENTS ON
THE NORTH SIDE OF CRAWFORD STREET FROM MARYMOUNT ROAD TO
FAIRDALE ROAD IN THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS; AMENDING SECTION 4 OF
RESOLUTION NUMBER 98-5385 AUTHORIZING AND ORDERING THE SAME
SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENTS; AND REPEALING THOSE EXISTING SECTIONS.
WHEREAS, on December 7, 1998, the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas, adopted
Resolution Number 98-5382 setting out findings and determining the advisability of the following
improvement project:
Public concrete sidewalks on the north side of Crawford Street from Marymount Road
to Fairdale Road, in the City of Salina, Kansas (the "Improvement Project")
benefitting the following improvement district:
Tracts 6 and 7, Wilbur Planned Development District, a part of Lot 7, Block 2, and
Block 5, less the north 120', all in Georgetown Addition, to the City of Salina, Saline
County, Kansas (the "Benefit District"); and
WHEREAS, on December 7, 1998, the Governing Body adopted Resolution 98-5385
authorizing and ordering the Improvement Project; and
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. Section 4 of Resolution Number 98-5382 and Section 4 of Resolution Number 98-
5385 are amended to read as follows:
"Section 4. The method of assessment shall be that the total cost assessed
against each parcel of property shall be based on the cost of the square footage of
sidewalk actually constructed immediately adjacent to the property being assessed."
Section 2. Section 4 of Resolution 98-5382 and Section 4 of Resolution Number 98-5385 are
repealed.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect after its passage and publication once in the official
city newspaper.
