RESOLUTION NUMBER 03-5994
A RESOLUTION CHANGING THE NAME OF A CERTAIN STREET WITHIN
THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS.
WHEREAS, the Governing Body approved the final plat for the Liberty Addition at its
regular meeting on April 7, 2003; and
WHEREAS, the City of Salina Planning Department has received a formal request from
South Ohio Land, L.L.C., requesting a change of a street name in the Liberty Addition from
Courtland Street as shown on the final plat to Cortland Circle; and
WHEREAS, there are no similarly sounding or similarly spelled street names in the city
and a name change to Cortland Circle would not create confusion or impact public safety; and
WHEREAS, that this formal request was considered by the Salina Planning Commission
on September 2, 2003 and they recommended approval of the request. SO NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That Courtland Street, as shown on the recorded plat of the Liberty Addition
to the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas, be changed to Cortland Circle.
Section 2. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect from its adoption.
Section 3. That this resolution shall be filed in the office of the Saline County Register
of Deeds as a correction to the recorded plat of the Liberty Addition.
Adopted by the Board of Commissioners and signed by the Mayor this 22"d day of
September 2003.
