An ordinance declaring Braniff & Cravens' addition to the City of Salina,
as originally platted and laid out, part of said city.
Whereas, by the provisions of Section 9 of Ordinance No.4 610, of the
city of Salina,' passed and approved Marx kAfx� November 9, 18871 the
lands and territory theretofore duly platted into lots, block, streets
and alleys and known as Braniff & Cravens' addition, was duly added to
the corporate limits of said city; and,
Whereas, by the provisions of chapter 276, Laws of Kansas, 18971
it was attempted to vacate the streets and alleys and lots and blocks in
said Braniff & Cravans' addition and exclude said land and territory
from the corporate limits of said city; and,
Whereas, said attempted vacation aforesaid was and always has been
illegal and void; and,
Whereas, said Braniff & Cravens' addition is eirctmiscribed by --
platted territ6-ry that has been duly taken into said city; now, therefore;
Be it'.®rdAined by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Salina:
Section 1. That U: all that land and territory heretofore known
and platted, and added to the corporate limits of the city of Salina as
Braniff & Cravens' addition.be and the same is hereby determined to be
a part and portion of the corporate limits of the city of Salina and the
streets surrounding and the alleys running thaout4i the same streets and
alleys of said city.
Sac. 2. -That e citengineer is hereby instructed to make a J
survey of the streets surround ;and the alleys running through said

struted to grade the streats surrounding and�tlie alleys running through

said addition the full dth thereof as shown by said plat and drawing,
and remove or cause to be r o\ all buildings encroaching upon any
of.such streets and alleys.
Sec. 4. This ordinance shall, take effect and be in force from and
after its publication once in the Salina Evening Journal.
