AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TRACTS OF
LAND IN SALINE COUNTY, KANSAS IN CONFORMITY WITH THE PROVISIONS OF K.S.A.
12-520(a)(2).
w WHEREAS, the City of Salina has acquired public right-of-way for West Magnolia Road west of
NVirginia Drive abutting the Premier Addition portions of which have not become part of the city, and the City
wishes to annex the entire roadway adjacent to the Premier Addition; and
WHEREAS, the legal description of the right-of-way dedication has been reviewed by the City
U Surveyor and found to accurately describe the right-of-way the City of Salina is proposing to annex. SO,
NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That the following described Tract 1 and Tract 2, to -wit:
Tract 1
A tract of land in the Southwest Quarter of Section 26, Township 14 South, Range 3 West of the
Sixth Principal Meridian, Saline County, Kansas, and more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of said Southwest Quarter;
Thence on an assumed bearing of North 00° 15'3 1 " East on the east line of said Southwest Quarter,
a distance of 74.90 feet to the north line of the City of Salina Right of Way as recorded in the Saline
County Register of Deeds Miscellaneous Book 75, Page 64;
Thence North 89° 53'22" West on said north line, a distance of 417.42 feet;
Thence South 000 15'30" West, a distance of 75.10 feet to the south line of said Southwest Quarter;
Thence South 89° 55'00" East on said south line, a distance of 417.42 to the Point of Beginning.
Said Tract 1 contains 31,306 square feet, more or less.
Tract 2
A tract of land located in the Premier Addition, City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas and more
particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the Northeast Corner of the Northwest Quarter of Section 35, Township 14 South,
Range 3 West of the 6" P.M.;
Thence on an assumed bearing of North 89° 54' 49" West on the north line of said Section 35, a
distance of 10.00 feet to the Point of Beginning;
Thence South 00° 05' 07" East, a distance of 75.00 feet;
Thence North 74° 29' 08" West, a distance of 56.38 feet;
Thence North 87° 23' 38" West, a distance of 199.52 feet;
Thence South 86° 00' 20" West, a distance of 154.37 feet;
Thence North 00° 05' 1 1" East, a distance of 62.21 feet to the north line of said Section 35;
Thence South 89° 54' 49" East, a distance of 407.42 feet to the Point of Beginning.
Said Tract 2 contains 23,478 square feet, more or less.
meeting the criteria for annexation set out in K.S.A. 12-520(a)(2) is hereby annexed and made a part of the
City of Salina, Kansas.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after publication ofthe following

' On September 17, 2012, the City of Salina, Kansas, passed Ordinance No. 12-10657. The
ordinance annexes into the city a portion of Magnolia Road west of Virginia Drive which abuts
