01-03-1995 Minutes Special MtgAction 95-001 95-002 CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS SPECIAL MEETING OF THE January 3, 1995 8:00 a.m. BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS The Special Meeting of the Board of Commissioners met in the Commission Meeting Room, City -County Building, on Tuesday, January 3, at 8:00 a.m. There were present: Mayor Joseph A. Warner, Chairman presiding Commissioner Peter F. Brungardt Commissioner John Divine Commissioner Evelyn Maxwell comprising a quorum of the Board, also present: Absent: Greg Bengtson, City Attorney Dennis M. Kissinger, City Manager Judy D. Long, City Clerk Commissioner Carol E. Beggs (1) Greg Bengtson, City Attorney explained the request from School Specialty Supply to pay off their Industrial Revenue Bonds. He asked that the City waive the normal sixty (60) day waiting period and adopt Resolution Number 95-4835 allowing the Mayor to execute a Special Warranty Deed. Moved by Commissioner Divine, seconded by Commissioner Brungardt, that Resolution Number 95-4835, allowing the Mayor to execute a Special Warranty Deed, be adopted. Aye: (4). Nay: (0). Motion carried. ADJOURNMENT Moved by Commissioner Maxwell, seconded by Commissioner Brungardt, that the Special Meeting of the Board of Commissioners be adjourned. Aye: (4) . Nay: (0) . Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 8:04 a.m. [SEAL] ATTEST: City Cle ara.,neil-i"VC� Y WAIVER AND CONSENT TO HOLD A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS We, the undersigned, being duly elected, qualified and acting City Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas, and constituting a majority of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas, do hereby waive notice and consent to the holding of a special meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas, on the 3rd day of January, 1995, at 8:00 a.m., for the purpose of considering the following: 1. Authorize the Mayor to execute a special warranty deed on the School Specialty Supply, Inc. Industrial Revenue Bonds, Series A, 1986. Note: This is considered a routine action on the part of the city to enable a real estate action to progress. The meeting is not expected to last beyond 10 minutes.
