WHEREAS, Section 13-512, Revised Ordinances of the City of Salina, 1918,
prohibit dancing within premises wherein cereal malt beverages are
sold for consumption on the premises; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed advisable and in the public interest for the policy
of the governing body of the City of Salina to specify certain plicy
regulations with reference to granting or denying licenses to etail
such beverages when dancing is proximate, and
SO, NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONER6 OF THE CITY
OF SALINA:
That it is hereby declared to be contrary to public policy for a license
to be issued authorizing the retail sale of cereal malt beverages when public
dancing is permitted or allowed under the following conditions, to -wit:
(1). When a dance is conducted b any person affiliated in a

business sense and/or related by marriage or otherwise
to the applicant for a license to retail cereal malt
beverages, then the application for such a license shall
be denied unless:
(a) The premises wherein the sale of cereal malt beverages
is to be conducted is in a separate structure.
(b) The two premises are not conducted in connecting
structures.
(c) An actual distance of about twenty-five (25) feet
separate the two structures.
