Streamline Ñfound bicycleÒ and Ñlarge found propertyÒ process
Recommendation
Immediate:
Communications will ask the reporting parties to bring the ÑfoundÒ items
to the Police Station for processing
Evidence will consolidate Ñfound propertyÒ calls that were not brought
into the Police Station, determine the most efficient route for collection,
and pick up the following day
Evidence will process all reports for these items
Evidence will identify ÑfoundÒ property that is of no value and
it immediately without processing it into evidence
Duplicate data entries for stolen bicycles will be eliminated (O
MSP records management system will now maintain these records)

for patrol responsibilities. (The Property and Evidence Unit will absorb this
