A RE'SOLUTION' relating; to the purchase of land for public uses.
YIH7,REAS, The City of Salina is engaged in enlarging- the sewage disposal
plant of the city; and

j' YNHM- EAS, it is necessary to acquire 11.9 acres of land to be employed
therefor from Minnie A. Halev and Isaac J. Halev; and
VIH HEA -S, the City Attorney has entered into a contract to 'guy said tract
for the sum of Two Thousand Three Hundred Eighty and Nb/100 Dollars
($;,380.00); and
SO, NOW TH rUO0 2, BE IT `.Z SOLV; D by the Bop rd of Commissioners of the City
of Salina:
That the contract made for said -purchase by the City Attorney is hereby
ratified, confirmed and approved.
That the Cit?,r of Salina pay Two Thousand Three Hundred Eighty and No/100
Dollars ($2,380.00) in exchange for a warranty deed conveying unto it the
following described lend, to-vvit:
That portion of the Northi,,rest Quarter (NW-,,-) of Section Eight
(8), Township Fourteen (14) south, Range Two (2), Vlest of the
6th P. M. in said County and state described as follows:
Commencing on the East line of said quarter section at the
Northwest Corner of a tract now owned by grantee herein, being
Five Hundred feet North (500111) of the intersection of said
eaFt line with the North line of the Missouri Pacific Railroad
right-of-way, thence north on said East line Eight Hundred
Fifty feet (8501), more or less, to the northeast corner of
said quf:rter section, thence west on the north line of said
qu:.rter section Six Hundred Ten Feet (6101), thence South
Eight Hundred Fifty feet (8501), more or less, to the Nortr-
west Corner of a tract now owned by the grantee herein,
thence East Six Hundred Ten feet (6101) on the North line of
said tract owned by grantee herein to place of beginning,
containing 11.9 acres, more or less.
Th_ -.t it is understood th_ t Mlinnie A. Haley and Isa,-,c J. Haley are
reservin growing i,% -heat on said land and in the event any of said wheat
is damaged by the city or its contractors then the city shall pay a
reasonable sum (value to be determined by averaFe yield per acre in
remainder of said quartar section owned by sellers) for an,, wheat so
damev,ed to sellers.
