ORDINANCE NUMBER 03-10146
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 4 OF ORDINANCE NUMBER 98-9859
TO EXTEND THE NEIGHBORHOOD REVITALIZATION PLAN TAX REBATE
PROGRAM UNTIL DECEMBER 31, 2003, AND REPEALING SAID SECTION 4.
WHEREAS, on March 16, 1998, the governing body passed Ordinance Number 98-9859
(the "Ordinance") adopting a Neighborhood Revitalization Plan and Designating a Neighborhood
Revitalization Area; and
WHEREAS, Section 4 of Ordinance provided that the Neighborhood Revitalization Plan
tax rebate program (the "Program") shall terminate on March 31, 2003; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the governing body to extend the Program until December
31, 2003, in order to continue the Program while allowing for a thorough analysis of any proposed
modifications for implementation commencing January 1, 2004.
SO NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of
Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. Section 4 of Ordinance Number 98-9859 is amended to read as follows:
"Section 4. Program Termination Date. That the Neighborhood Revitalization Plan
tax rebate program shall terminate on December 31, 2003."
Section 2. That the existing Section 4 of Ordinance Number 98-9859 is hereby repealed.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption
and publication once in the official city newspaper.
